How we started
Rotherham Respiratory was born out of a need for good quality respiratory education for Practice Nurses. It quickly became apparent that education was required in all areas of long-term conditions for all health care professionals in the local area and beyond.

Rotherham Respiratory contract with Health Education England, offering a wide portfolio of classroom education, across the Yorkshire and Humber region. As of September 2020, we now offer our education courses online. We have created a bespoke model of online learning. These “transferring skills to practice courses”, as they are known, are easily accessible any time of the day/night. They are mapped to a unique model which is evidenced based, up to date and delivered by expert practising clinicians. The courses provide a blended learning experience without the need to have to log on at specific dates and times.
We have provided bespoke training for Yorkshire Ambulance Service, CCG's, Health Authorities and Federations across the region.
We have accreditation from Royal College of Nursing (RCN) and Continuing Professional Development (CPD). We also have endorsements from National Paediatric Respiratory & Allergy nurses’ group (NPRANG), Primary Care Cardiovascular Society (PCCS) and The Association of Respiratory Nurses (ARNS) and Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH).
