Completing this course as enabled me to gain more confidence and competent within my clinical practice area. There was a lot of information gained from the course, which will be instrumental when completing annual LTC reviews. In my role as a frailty nurse we are extremely likely to come in contact with patients who possibly could have undiagnosed AF. This course has given me the confidence in recognising the symptoms, risk and more importantly the need to refer to appropriate medical practitioner.
Found this very easy to use and very informative . I really prefer face to face teaching , but was surprised how good this was. I would be keen to do this kind of training again as allows you to do it in your own time and means regardless of staffing issue which is an ongoing COVID challenge , can still keep learning and developing skills. Asthma Update course
I am not a nurse but as a Pharmacy Technician it was brilliant. Learn new skills and as a result I am now spending time with the asthma nurses in the GP practice I support to gain the confidence in supporting our asthma patients. Loved the videos - she was ace - learnt loads from the slides, but just as important you listen to what she brings re :- her experiences and knowledge.

Normally I prefer a face-to-face course but appreciate that is not possible with current situation of Covid 19, but this learning style really was good and almost the same as a face- to-face course. As the online tutor was narrating, I didn't become bored by just reading the information. I would definitely choose this learning style again. I found the course to be very interesting and informative. Also given me more confidence to know that what I am saying in my asthma consultations is correct, I will be able to add new things into my consultation. Thank you

Diabetes: foundation course
Excellent. Although nothing is quite like face-to-face training this was one of the best courses I have completed. Easy to follow, relative and interesting content.
I enjoyed this training, I found it very informative and then way it was presented was interesting and kept me engaged. The case studies were really useful to think about how to put it in to practice. Also the resources are very helpful and I will use these regularly in practice.
Absolutely outstanding course, developed and presented perfectly for beginners and those with some knowledge.
I am hopeful that this will allow me in time to deliver better level of care to my patients and also that I will feel able that to give newly diagnosed a better insight to their own treatment plans. I hope with the rising demand for diabetes care, I am able to be forefront of delivering excellent care
Although I have gained information on these areas, I now need to put this in practice. I would say that I haven't gained more confidence, however, with continued learning and guidance through this course, I will be able to put what I have learnt into practice with the guidance from more experienced colleagues and hopefully that will build on my confidence.
Very informative presentations, with great guidance throughout. I am quite confident in delivering a diabetes check including feet in my role within general practice, however, I knew very little on the range of results, medications, other than metformin and insulin. I have taken tons of new knowledge from this course, thank you.
Diabetes: update course
I really enjoyed the course ,I am 67years old and still working part time as a Practice Nurse. I usually struggle a bit with online courses - I am not very Tech Savvy ! So this one was a breath of fresh air as I found it easy to get on line and to follow the prompts, The Tutor was really good and the way that she presented made the topics interesting .So thankyou to all of you who are involved.

Diabetes Advancing Care Course
I have really enjoyed this course, I have particularly enjoyed exploring the links with psychological health and it’s relationship with Diabetes, and the effects diagnosis can have on an individual and their family - and how to support a person long term, using a person-centred approach I have found the content to be user friendly, and fulfilling. I have enjoyed using the individual learning record to record my notes and consolidate my learning. I have found the course relevant to my role, and I am able to use my learning to support my practice. What a fantastic course! I feel I have gained more knowledge delivered this way than in a classroom. Been able to revisit parts and pause tutorials was very useful and a great idea. The self-assessments were really good at the end of each topic. Good comprehensive reference list/ guidance. I like the idea that you can contact the tutor if needed with questions. I found the course a great mixture of video presentation, with pictures and slides. I also found the links to reading material very useful rather than trolling the internet. Although i do find face to face teaching useful but the ability to visit a particular section several times was very useful.

I had very little knowledge in copd and I found this course really useful, I found some of it a little challenging but purely because I over think everything and at times needed to take a step back before answering some of the knowledge check questions. I think Anne was very engaging and kept the tutorials at a level that was easy to understand. Her knowledge and passion for respiratory disease was amazing and it was obvious she was very patient focused. I only had to contact her once but she responded promptly and answered my queries I found the flexibility of the course really useful as it meant I could fit my hours in around my family and work commitments without having having to rush to get it done. Very usefuls as I was enrolled mid flu vaccination season. I started the course feeling really daunted due to my lack of experience but my confidence and knowledge has been vastly improved. I obviously still have a lot to learn but I have gained a lot from this course and would definitely reccommend this course.

This course has clearly been well thought out and created with the learner at heart! This has definitely helped me gain more insight into COPD which will assist me in making more thorough, holistic annual COPD review.
The knowledge checks at the end were very useful in enabling me to check what I had learnt and/or go back and revisit a section if I needed more knowledge in a particular area.
I liked how there was a range of teaching techniques involved, the videos with the tutor; the PowerPoint presentations and the interactive parts.
I liked the way that the slide powerpoint could be accessed first so that I could print this off and make additional notes whilst listening to the presentation for each section, this made things much easier.
This course I have to say, was fantastic! It was structured in a way that eased me in gently and then each section added to the last one in an easy to understand way. It has been organised perfectly, I could not fault.

I was apprehensive as to how it would be planned due to not being face to face. However, I thought it was excellently presented, thorough, very informative, comprehensive & ticked all the boxes. Once underway, I actually enjoyed it as I was able to concentrate more, take notes without rushing & go back over areas to recap if needed. I did not need to ask Anne any questions but liked the facility to do so if necessary. Would highly recommend.
I found the videos as a very useful way to learn, as you can play back anything that you needed to hear again.
I have attended many COPD update sessions and I have found this online version by far the best. Very informative, presented in a easy to understand format . The opportunity to go over parts of the topic to clarify understanding is great.

I've really enjoyed my learning experience and feel I now have the knowledge to recognize possible heart failure signs and symptoms and ensure the relevant tests and referrals were initiated and I also now have the knowledge on ensuring treatment is optimized as well as learning the importance of exercising and attending cardiac rehabilitation programmes, it has also made me consider things like questioning medication compliance.
The explanation along with the RAAS system made it so much easier to understand the rest of the course. Outstanding, can't wait for the next one.

Heart Failure Advancing Care Course
I've studied at masters level x3 and this is the best course I've ever done and most professional I have ever done and I feel so much more confident and have asked to become more involved with the heart failure side our programmes, Active Programmes Cardiac and Pulmonary rehab.
The content was delivered in a way that was easy to follow and the ability to keep refreshing on a certain topic if I felt I didn't understand it was very useful.
Hypertension Course
I have found that often Hypertension in Primary Care is viewed as having lesser importance compared to the other Long Term Conditions and monitoring is seen as needing little or no education despite it being the biggest cohort of patients within our Surgery. This course has reaffirmed to me its equal importance. The course is outstanding , everything I wanted it to be , I now feel more confident in prescribing. Best course I have done with respiratory foundation. Enjoyed the course as I learnt about ILD and I now feel when I find someone who has Velcro crackles on auscultation I need to be aware of ILD being a potential diagnosis. I was not aware before the course of this being a predominant feature. It was interesting to learn of the secondary care care planning for patients with ILD.
I was pleased with how up to date the course was and the relevant articles were recent and it reflected recent changes to practice. This has given me confidence in the RR courses and likely to access more

Following this course I now feel much more confident in my role as a pulmonary & cardiac rehab nurse. I did know the basics of ILD but this course has made me realise that I did have so much more to learn, which I now have thanks to you. I now feel my patients with an ILD will now get so much more from me, I will be able to impart more knowledge and provide better care to them.
This course was absolutely superb. The work and content that has gone into this from all involved was incredible. It must have taken many hours of blood, sweat and tears to produce such amazing content. All the research and extended learning to back it all up is invaluable. I do think " 15 " hours of learning suggested for this course is a little ambitious, but I am old school and like to take notes with good old pen an paper so it did take me a long time to get through it all. I admit, I didn't get through nearly as much research as I had liked but I have downloaded content as suggested for ongoing learning.

Non-medical Prescribing course
I really found the course very helpful, incredibly relevant and thought provoking. I liked the modular presentation, and the opportunity to go away and look at more information.
In general the study was a useful tool for an update. I essentially learnt a couple of key aspects that can adopt to my daily clinical practice.
Very well done course. Easy to understand I like the examples of patients which I can relate to my own practice. I especially like that it is directed to nurses and practitioners. I'll be looking up more of the local formularies and comparing them to other guidelines. Also very useful info on deprescribing.

Reflective Practice course
I am doing a lot of reflection after moving into an Advanced Practice role and I was finding in tedious and a 'tick-box' exercise. This course has really helped me to rediscover the importance of reflection and how it can benefit our patients. Every section has been so interesting and helpful, I have enjoyed the tutor's teaching style with the case studies and stories making reflection relevant. Although I find reflection difficult, I think it will be easier going forward using the models and tools provided on this course. Thank you.
Excellent refresher on reflective practice
I loved this course, once I started I couldn't stop listening, although in my career I've heard reflective practice many times, this was the best delivery I have had. Excellent

Really interesting content which was delivered well. I much preferred the online course as I could revisit areas again (and again) if I misheard or misunderstood. Chris Loveridge’s videos are excellent.
The videos of case studies were extremely helpful.

I liked this layout as I had to watch the fit for purpose video again for it to fully sink in, which I wouldn't have been able to do had it been a proper face to face course. I learn better when someone is talking rather than just reading off a sheet of paper so this has been extremely useful. Excellent course.
Spirometry: update course
A thoroughly enjoyable study day, which improves knowledge and maintains interest when at present general practices are not performing spirometry, but nurses need to maintain competency for future cares.

- This was not only an excellent general update but the work around LLN and z numbers was very useful. Previous sessions I have attended by other providers have left me confused, this course provided a clear and simple explanation related to examples. The importance of report writing and the importance of the correct diagnosis and the implications of getting it wrong is a lesson to us all.
Overall I have found this an excellent update and particularly found the section on LLN and Z scores informative.
The knowledge check is essential.
I was not looking forward to the learning being online, as I enjoy the environment and networking when I have attended at Breathing Space. However this format has given me the flexibility to complete in my own time and I was surprised that I did enjoy it Thank you for your time and effort in putting the update together.

I was apprehensive about learning spirometry, however this course was very informative, easy to follow and helped me understand and realise all the numbers aren’t so scary!

This course was brilliant. It has been by far the best I have done, in terms of being in-depth but in a way that doesn't confuse you. You are able to go over sections if needed at your own pace, and not worry about keeping up with others. It has supported my currently knowledge and helped me gain confidence in interpretation- thank you. I will certainly be recommending.

This is a very well thought out course. It is well designed and logical in how it takes you through interpretation. The 7 step guide to interpretation was particularly useful.

Thank you for making this learning accessible during quite a challenging time. It was clear that a lot of effort was put into delivering this and I'm grateful I've had the opportunity to access this as I was booked onto the face to face training earlier in the year. I've since been booked onto the asthma and COPD courses and I'm looking forward to these now!
Excellent course. The tutor was clear and easy to follow - I felt like she was talking to me directly rather than been in a classroom setting. I liked the opportunity to pause or go back to sections you need to look over again. The "ask your tutor a question" option is really good. The knowledge checks at the end of each topics I found really useful and keeps you motivated. I have really enjoyed doing this course and look forward to doing more like this in the future.
As a new to role practice nurse with surgical experience in nursing I found the course very useful to me in developing my clinical skills in my role.
