Severe Asthma Course (online)
Course information:
There are many “types” of asthma and Severe Asthma is the most serious of them all. Severe Asthma has a significant impact on quality of life; people living with this condition may be unable to work or attend school, and they are at the greatest risk of life-threatening asthma attacks.
Evidence suggests that many people with Severe Asthma are undiagnosed, and as a result, not accessing specialised medicines and services which could be life-transforming for them.
Improved awareness and understanding of Severe Asthma amongst health care professionals is needed to improve early recognition and access to specialist care which will result in improved outcomes for patients.
This course takes a comprehensive approach to examine Severe Asthma in patients of all ages, from diagnosis to management across the care pathway.
